The Bluefield University track team concluded its 2025–2026 season in stride at the Appalachian Athletic Conference (AAC) Tournament.
Each member of the team put their best foot forward in the final meet of the year. Dayson McMillian delivered personal bests in both sprinting events, finishing the 100-meter dash in 11.24 seconds and the 200-meter dash in 23.34 seconds. Shot put competitor Jaylen Holmes recorded a throw of 11.89 meters.

Bluefield University recognized its student-athletes during the school’s annual Rammies awards program, hosted this year at the historic Granada Theatre in downtown Bluefield, WV.
Designed to bring student-athletes, coaches, and the campus community together to honor outstanding leadership and achievement in sports, the Rammies celebrates individual accomplishments, team achievements, and memorable moments from the 2025-2026 athletic year.

Travis Roberts, Vice President of Enrollment Management & Marketing at Bluefield, serves the university by overseeing traditional admissions and enrollment as well as public relations and university marketing.
Roberts also has another talent – meteorology. Roberts, who graduated from Bluefield College in 2001 with a Bachelor of Arts in Communications, completed a broadcast meteorology program at Mississippi State University and earned the Seal of Approval from the National Weather Association. He initially served the community as a meteorologist at WVVA, a local news station, before returning to Bluefield as a staff member.

On April 24-25, writers and word-lovers from around the nation will gather at the Granada Theater in Bluefield, WV, for a weekend of fellowship and inspiration. The speakers for HopeWords Writers’ Conference will include authors Mitali Perkins, Daniel Nayeri, Gary Schmidt, and S.D. Smith.

Bluefield University has announced a change to its undergraduate commencement ceremony for the Class of 2026. In years past, students and their families gathered on the quad to enjoy the spring sunshine while crossing the graduation stage. This year, however, the ceremony will look different.

Bluefield University men’s volleyball team took the court for Senior Day, celebrating both the final home match of the season and a heartfelt farewell to their lone senior, Kemani Riley. The Dome buzzed with excitement as fans and family gathered to support the Rams in a day filled with emotion and competition.
