Student-Athletes Recognized with Rammies

Bluefield University recognized its student-athletes during the school’s annual Rammies awards program, hosted this year at the historic Granada Theatre in downtown Bluefield, WV.

Designed to bring student-athletes, coaches, and the campus community together to honor outstanding leadership and achievement in sports, the Rammies celebrates individual accomplishments, team achievements, and memorable moments from the 2025-2026 athletic year.

Marketing and…Meteorology?

Travis Roberts, Vice President of Enrollment Management & Marketing at Bluefield, serves the university by overseeing traditional admissions and enrollment as well as public relations and university marketing.

Roberts also has another talent – meteorology. Roberts, who graduated from Bluefield College in 2001 with a Bachelor of Arts in Communications, completed a broadcast meteorology program at Mississippi State University and earned the Seal of Approval from the National Weather Association. He initially served the community as a meteorologist at WVVA, a local news station, before returning to Bluefield as a staff member.

 
Sharing Words of Hope

On April 24-25, writers and word-lovers from around the nation will gather at the Granada Theater in Bluefield, WV, for a weekend of fellowship and inspiration. The speakers for HopeWords Writers’ Conference will include authors Mitali Perkins, Daniel Nayeri, Gary Schmidt, and S.D. Smith.
