Question of the Week: What are Graduating Seniors’ Future Plans?

Graduating seniors are all too familiar with one question: What are your plans after graduation? As Commencement Day, May 2, approaches, we thought we’d ask Bluefield University’s graduating seniors what comes next. For some, the future includes continuing their education, while others plan to step directly into the workforce.

Ashanti Northcross, Exercise and Sport Science
Next year I plan to get a master’s degree in Business (Sports Management) here at BU, then possibly attend physical therapy school.

Eledy Torres, Sports Communication
After graduation, I plan to move to Florida and start a career in the sports industry while obtaining my master’s degree online.

Kaleb Morgan , Exercise and Sports Science
After graduation, I plan to pursue a professional basketball career in Europe while also exploring the opportunity to use my redshirt fifth year and complete my master’s degree. During my time in the U.S., I will also be working full-time as a contractor, continuing to build professional experience alongside my athletic career.

Riley Cox, Nursing
I am going to be working as a cardiac and neurology nurse at Princeton Community Hospital. I’m also going back to school to get my nurse practitioner license.

Madilyn Howington, Psychology
After graduation, I plan on taking a gap year to get some extra work experience in the psychology field and soak in the newlywed stage. After that, I plan on furthering my education with a master’s in counseling to work with children.
