The Rampage would like to congratulate Bluefield University student Alexis Hawkins for winning the Rampage T-shirt Design Contest.

As the winner of the contest, Hawkins received a Bluefield University sweatshirt and a $50 Amazon gift card. She’ll also receive a Rampage t-shirt with her design printed on the front. In fact, all participants in the contest will receive a Rampage t-shirt.

“I love making designs,” Hawkins said about participating in the design contest, “and I saw this as an opportunity to help [The Rampage] have a new eye for a t-shirt design.”

Rampage student editors and contributors wanted to have merchandise to showcase that they work with the magazine, which is where the idea for the contest came from. The Rampage was hoping to get some of the graphic design majors and enthusiasts to participate. Hawkins was the one whose design stood out among the rest.

“I use my design skills with my photography and other projects just for fun,” she said.

The winning design for the contest was chosen by faculty members in Communication and Graphic Communication departments, along with the student editors and designers of The Rampage. When Hawkins was informed she was the winner of the contest, she was thrilled.

“I am so thankful to be chosen for this,” she said, “and I hope everyone loves the design I made.”

Congratulations, Alexis, for your winning t-shirt design. We hope you continue doing great design work in the future.
