The college opened the newly-renovated Student Activities Center (SAC) on Wednesday, October 23. Since the opening has been a highly-anticipated event for BC students, we asked them just days before the unveiling, “What do you hope to see in the new SAC and how do you feel about the delays?”
Faith Pike, Senior
“My hope is that it is done within a timely manner and that the SAC is worth the delay. Also, that there is seating and dining improvements — really just improvement overall.”
Dustin Barker, Sophomore
“I hope there is like a place to get some good food, and I’m displeased with all of the delays, but it is okay as long as they are working hard on it and the delays are worth the wait.”
Gabe Blackman, Senior
“I expect to see something that will entertain and allow students to hang out there. The delays are really frustrating and annoying they set these dates and failed to meet them, and the delays ruin it for the students who were excited to get to use it.”
Charnice White, Sophomore
“I hope to see better furniture and that it will have activities the students will enjoy. I am not happy about how long it is taking, but I hope that it turns out good.”
Shaun Kolb, Senior
“I want the SAC to have the pool table and ping pong tables still, plus more areas to sit. The thing that frustrates me the most about the delays is that I have nowhere to hang out in between classes. I have to go back to my apartment just to come back an hour later. It would be more efficient for me to have somewhere to hang out on campus and chill while waiting for my next class”
