Follow The Rampage in the New BC App
Bluefield College students can now get their Rampage news quicker than ever through the new BC app.
Launched at the start of the spring semester, the new BC app features easy access to the latest and most important information on BC clubs, events, food services, campus safety, and MyBC, but one of the more exciting features on the app, according to Student Development leaders, is the ability to access The Rampage.
“One of our favorite features is the Rampage newspaper,” said Josh Arnold, associate vice president for Student Development, about the elements available in the new BC app. “Students can stay updated about issues of importance to them, created by other students, by clicking the ‘news’ button in the app.”
From the “news” tab, students can follow the latest articles posted by the Rampage, including stories about classmates, professors, sports, and the latest views on campus in a recent addition of an opinions page. Students may also subscribe to notifications or announcements from the Rampage through the “clubs” section of the BC app.
“The app is just another great way to stay connected to the Rampage and to the latest news on campus,” said Chris Shoemaker, faculty advisor for the student newspaper. “Readers can still follow us on the website, bcrampage.com, and through social media, but the app is just one more way to make sure you’re catching our latest news.”

Arnold added that the app makes it easier and more convenient to access current information all in one place and to feel more connected with what’s going on at BC. Students can subscribe to various clubs and get notifications about events happening on campus, all with the intention of getting more involved in student life, Arnold said.
