Question of the Week: Who is your favorite professor?
Bluefield University has a lot of great professors. Some are fun and entertaining, while others are very organized and consistent. All are intelligent and kind. But we thought we’d ask BU students: “Who is your favorite professor and why?”
-
Tavarius Corbitt, Criminal Justice
Mrs. (Lisa) Robinson, because she’s one of a kind and very special to me. Her class is very engaging. She taught me everything I know with criminal justice. I don’t know how can I pass my class without her. She’s a big help on and around campus. She is a great instructor and great friend. If you want to talk, she will listen.
-
Julia Atkins, Psychology
My favorite professor is Emily Cook because she makes you feel important and seen. She is the kindest and funniest soul.
-
Adam Gymnander, Business
Dr. (Michael) Bandy because he’s understanding and always willing to help make sure you understand what is going on.
-
Shawn Johnson, Secondary Education History
Dr. Joshua Pittman. He is wanting to get to know you if you want to get to know him. I had him for Intro to the Writing Process and Analytical and Argumentative Writing, and I was able to ask questions about how to be a better writer, and he even gave me the opportunity to be an SI (supplemental instructor).
-
Courtney Frame, Criminal Justice
Dr. (Jessica) Sykes is probably my favorite professor here at BU. The way she can bond with everyone and creates such a great learning environment in class is just amazing. Since meeting her in January, we have become very close, and I can always count on her.
