The Bluestone Review Looking for Submissions
Just as David took five small, familiar objects from a stream to face a giant, so you can take five small, familiar memories from the stream of your thoughts and throw them toward the Bluestone Review. One- or all of them- can stick and make history.
If you or your friends are looking to share previously unpublished writing or other works of art, then the Bluestone Review (B.R.) is a fitting outlet for you. The B.R. collects song lyrics, poetry, fiction, creative nonfiction, photographs, drawings, paintings, and more from Bluefield College’s community and the surrounding areas. You can send a maximum of five pieces. Written works must be 750 words or less.
You can submit works or questions for the 30th edition of the B.R. to bluestone@bluefield.edu until March 1st, 2021. Submissions which arrive after this date can go toward next year’s edition. Don’t forget to include your name, a sentence about yourself, and your email and physical address. A free copy of the B.R. will go to those whose work makes it into the B.R. There are plans to have a reading reception in late April, with a virtual format or recording for those who may be unable to attend in person.
